I have the results in for city mileage in my 2006 Honda Civic non-hybrid. Before mileage in the city was 26 mpg and I am now getting 32 mpg, which is a 23% increase. Now 23% sounds great, but what does that really mean in MONEY savings? I put my pencil to paper to figure this out and I thought I would share this with you because the money savings really excites me more that the 23% does. My tank holds 13 gallons, but to make things simple we will call a tank of gas 10 gallons. To further simplify the example we will assume that I am paying $4.00 per gallon. One bottle of eeFuel has 120ml of product. At 8 ml per 10 gallons that will give me a little over 14 tanks of gas so we will call it 14 tanks. I buy the bottle at $20 divided by 14 doses per bottle so it costs me $1.43 per dose. At $4.00 per gallon less 23% in fuel savings subtracts $0.92 per gallon, or $9.20 per tank. Subtract the cost per tank of $1.43 from the savings per tank of $9.20 and after product cost I am saving $7.77 per tank. Multiply the savings of $7.77 per tank by the number of tanks per bottle and this nets me a savings per bottle of $108.80 over and above the cost of the bottle. That is over 5 times the bottle cost in savings! That also means that after savings I am paying more like $3.10 per gallon. Now that’s exciting!
